Everyone's idea of 'pretty' is different
This is one of the most important things to remember when planning a wedding. Your idea of pretty is most likely not someone else's idea of pretty. Have you ever been to a wedding where black and pink are the colors or purple and silver and thought it was ( too be nice) NOT pretty? Well, someone has been dreaming of those colors, and thinks they are pretty. In fact they think they are more then pretty, they believe they are pretty perfect.
It is important to keep this in mind through out the entire planning process. Everything from your cake platter to your flowers, to bridesmaids dresses-you, as the bride need to think its pretty. Leaving these details to others can end in bridal war or full blown meltdown.
If you have a planner they should help you steer clear of this but if you are doing it on your own, like any successful thing in life be organized. Have a list, be thorough. You can delegate if you have too - but be sure to have the final say on everything as even your bff can have a different opinion of how the flower girls hair should look. And she may think they look cute in cowboy boots, and you may say heck no!
